We have some terrific black opals from Lambina most of it with gem crystal
on the outside we are anxious to put a stone or two into your hands.
The smallest stones are only $5,000/oz and I think we have some stones for as
little as only $200 each. We have larger stones at $7,500/oz which would be approximately
Then we have even larger and more brilliant stones at $15,000/oz. The super gems from the
parcel are $25,000/oz. Below are pictures of most grades.
Just over a week ago I secured one black opal from a miner, it weighs 2.5oz and I'm going
to sell the stone for only $5,000. Now whilst this is black opal from Lambina it doesn't
have the crystal colour on the outside that the other grades from the other parcels have.
About 1/3 of the 2.5oz stone is waste and when you hold it to the light you can see that
there is a lot of black opal inside. The miners are very cunning they spotted the black
inside and just clipped a little bit from the side of the stone and when it showed gem red
on black they didn't snip it anymore. So one can't be 100% sure of what the stone is going
to yield but the colour is brilliant.
Please don't hold me to this but I thought when I bought the stone from my mate that there
is a possibility of a $20,000 stone coming from this piece. Now if we cut it and sold it
for $20,000 the chances are the purchaser would resell it in America for a keystone which
would make it $60,000.
If you would like to have a look at any of these stones or talk about them, I'd be happy to talk to you.
I look forward to hearing from you and being of service to you.
