Books about the Opal

We have a number of beautiful books to satisfy your love of the opal.
Most of these are already rare and collectible.

Peter Greisl's new personal story about life in Andamooka !

"A life that included hardship, heat, mine rustlers,an aeroplane crash,a suicide and most important of all the discovery of precious opal. This is your chance to go to the opal fields and mine with Peter from the comfort of your chair". Murray Willis highly recommends this outstanding auto biography to you.

$80 Beautiful Opals Australia's National Gem Special 2000 Commemorative Edition by Len Cram

"A Journey with Colour A History of South Australian Opal 1840-2005" Recently Len Cram launched a new book "A Journey with Colour A History of South Australian Opal 1840-2005" a Special Collectors Edition by Len Cram $495US. My daughter Nicole was asked to host the launching, Kent and Murray Willis travelled to Coober Pedy to the launch also. All three Willises were featured in the book which is a great honour. There is no doubt that Len Cram is the greatest opal historian in the history of this world. He shudders at that title but deep down he knows he is. The book has approximately one million words, 1,400 photographs and weighs over 4lbs. For $495US it is a bargain. If you would like us to send you a book and possibly some opals with it we would be more than happy to do so.

$100 Beautiful Opals of the Desert This book is out of print and the type has been destroyed. It is a collector's item. One was recently sold at a Queensland opal auction for $300AU. We have a few left so you can complete your collection of the Len Cram series.
